Heavy logistics has always been a significant part of the Group's energy consumption. Since greener technological solutions are yet not available for heavy logistics, we are focusing our efforts on a more efficient use of fossil fuels and thus reducing our carbon footprint. Our Backhauling program presents suppliers a transportation service through routes that before would be made with empty trucks after performing the last store delivery. This program has attained a considerable growth in members, trips made and avoided kilometers.
