Sonae companies created Sonae Forest, a project that represents a collective effort towards the restoration and conservation of Portuguese Forests. Over a period of 10 years, Sonae Forest will reforest more than 1,100 hectares. In 2023, our companies financed 70 ha, corresponding to about 88 thousand trees and the equivalent of compensating for more than 8.8 thousand tCO2 associated with the emission of greenhouse gases from our fleet of vehicles for employees and services in 2022. Since 2019, Sonae has invested more than 269 hectares in the Sonae Forest project.
